The international grenache contest Grenaches du Monde awards Altavins with two gold medals, one for the Almodí Petit Red and the other for Almodí Roble.

The contest, which is an itinerant event and last year took place in Terra Alta, has made the 2019 edition in Perpignan. During 17 and 18 of April more than 800 samples of wines, elaborated with grenache, from different countries like France, Spain, Italy, South Africa, Australia, Canada, etc. have been tasted.

The contest, promoted by the Interprofessional Council of Vins du Roussillon (CIVR) has closed the 7th edition with 31 medals awarded to DO Terra Alta, 19 Gold medals and 12 Silver medals.
